I've never seen any, but I did notice yours earlier, and was thinking that it was a pretty sweet idea.

Greg - Like many aspects of your boat, I'm thinking of copying the side walls so I've got a place to mount speakers. That's one reason why I need to hook up with Bob at some point and get a close look, take some measurements, etc.

How are they mounted to the sides of the hull?

I use that area for skis. Where do you put the skis?

My Boat has two gas tanks there. I mount the speakers hidden on the sides (4x6s) they blend in with the carpet. To replace the sound that 4x6s put out I have an 8" Bazooka sub woofer under the bow.

    Daniel,
Are you saying you have your speakers mounted underneath the side pointing down? I was wondering if there was room there to do that.

If/when I get around to putting in a stereo, I want it well hidden so nobody even knows there's a stereo in there by looking in. This is mainly for theft reasons, but also for aesthetics. I would like it to at least look like a hard core ski boat, but still have some creature comforts.

Actually if you look at the inside there is the indentation where the side of the boat goes out (The part that diverts the the spray down) I have made custom inserts so that the speakers fit into that gap and disappear. The front speakers are mounted right under the dash in small boxes that face down and back (You can't see them) the Amp and sub are under the bow with the Battery and the radio is mounted on the front cross member near the floor (I have to use a remote since it is sort of far down).

I will see if I can get some pictures.

All Pioneer system except the SAS Bazooka in the bow.

The sidewalls look neat. I never thought of that. That's why this forum is awsome. What I did, was hung some waterproof Bose on each side with "L" brackets and 2 under the dashboard . ( one of the pics shows the side mount ones). Since my fuel tanks are portable and in the rear, I have lots of room under the bow. I built a drawer that slides out from the bow under the dashboard where everything stays dry. The drawer contains a radio and if anyone still uses them, a "CB Radio". (pre cell phone days). I also keep the ski gloves, sun lotions, first aid kit, air horn, small tool box and can't forget the binoculars, and stuff like. I also stuff the orange PFD's in different sizes under the bow on either side of the drawer. I will supply detailed pics when we un-shrink wrap the Dyne. One of the few smart things I did was NOT have the fuel tank mounted under the bow. We spend most of our time on lakes w/o a fuel pump. Easy to take the two 6gal tanks for refilling.

Stay warm everyone. 6 degrees here.

I installed a 150 gallon tank down by the lake when we had the summer place in the UP. Just pull up and fill up with the hose.

Now I either take the boat to the station or fill with cans with a siphon hose. Since the boat now stays in my shop it is no problem. I launch right in the yard with a jeep. It takes about 5 minutes.

I still have room for the life jackets in the bow, and the skis can go all the way to the transom in the rear. I had a boat with a sterio here for a while and I think I used it maybe twice.
