OK - if you could have any one dyne, what would it be. Second and third choices also allowed for those of us who want a whole fleet:

I have mine, 20' Open Bow Dyna-Ski. Allows me to pull my 4 yr old on the boom with no spray, 8 yr old footing on the boom, swivelers, multi jumpers, multi footers as well as load up 8 people for a dinner trip up the lake.

Second choice 1985-1991 Hydrodyne 20' comp which happens to be on a lift on my property owned by a friend.

    Third Choice would be 1978 18' outboard with a 175 or 200HO E-Tec.

All of the above would be best and I guess I am only one away from that in a way.

My daughter and her family were here for two weeks. We probably skied every other day or more including the three of them and burned about 30-35 gallons of gas with the 18 Dyne 150 combination.

Number two I have already owned. That was an 18 foot Mirage Jaguar Ski Racer with a modified Mercury 2.5 EFI from the racing division that would go well over 100 mph. I had it, I liked it, and I don't even want to ride in one now.

I have some antiques, but that is a whole other story.

My dream boat would have to be a 20ft hydrodyne with twin 150's ( if I could ever afford the gas for the motors!) However my Family did buy a 1973 18ft hydrodyne, and since i've never skied or driven one my opion might change!

I would love to have a 20' I/O, but have never found one for sale.

    Ashley,
the deck mold for the 20 I/O is in Iola, WI but the hull mold broke some time back, unfortunately it had not been cared for at all.

Mine would probably be a 20' Tom Miller Dyne w/ blue and red stripes on the forward deck, twin rigged w/ big Optis (225s)or E-Tecs, Livorsi controls, bow fuel tank. I'd want to have somoe input in the construction of the boat, some reinforcements in key areas.

In fact, I plan to put one together, sometime in the next 2 or 3 years. A few projects around home need to get done first or my wife will have my neck.

For all around fun, though, I think it would be hard to beat my current 18 w/225 Merc and hydraulic steering. I pretty much built my dream boat. Hard to describe how much fun that boat is. Had another great summer with it. It is now back in the hangar in Illinois. Season is over. :(

Building a twin rigged 20' would complete the dream.
