I have been trying to find places to purchase this and have been having trouble. If anyone knows anyone else who sells teleflex hydraulic steering, let me know! I also read a post about power assist but I don't think I really need it. I don't need something else to take care of.

There is a guy that advertises on ebay that will put a seastar system together with any helm and hose and cylinder combination. I would talk to him and check with RiverRat and Mustskimotors on this forum.

ishopmarine.com part number ISM-D799166 is the Teleflex Sea Star hydraulic steering kit with 16' hoses included.

The cost of teleflex steering stuff has gone up quite a bit in the last 18 months. I can get it cheaper, but it would be a couple weeks, this is a tough time of year for stuff being out of stock.

You can always try your local marine dealer. Most, if not all, handle teleflex/seaster. Also, if you give enough business to your local marine dealer, they start to know who you are and give discounts and better service. If you have a problem, try mine.

Call and talk to Jeff or Joe. You can mention my name. They can help sort things out for you. I bet they could even just look up my order.

I did get the 2.4 helm, and I do like having it. If I did it again, I would do the same thing.

    Jeremy,

Ok now I am a little confused. On your log in information it says you have a 1971 "baby Dyne". But on the site you are saying that Tom built you a new boat. So what is the story? Did Tom redo your 1971, or did you get a new shell all together?

I call it a "new" boat because, for all practical purposes, it is a new boat to me. Tom had a 1971 hull that he restored to new condition. I don't know what all was involved in the restoration, but it's shiny, solid, and my favorite boat. So don't rain on my parade.

    Jeremy,

I wasn't raining on your parade. Just a little confused. I never noticed that on your profile it said it was from the 70s. I thought it was a new one. Especially since it has the new style deck on it. I think your boat is awesome.

I went to the local Mercury dealer today to talk to them about prices and they were more expensive than everyone else. $1,100.00 for the package and $250 for upgraded hoses! And they always gave me a deal since we are on a ski team!
