Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne Depending if you are a beg forgiveness or ask permission type, you could just try contacting someone at the coast guard, since it is a coast guard capacity plate, with your particular situation and find out if it's required. You could start out omitting personal information in case you don't like their answer Cool
Seat base (per markbano's request) Here are a couple pictures of the seat base on my dyne. The bottom is fiberglass, and it has a low profile slider. I believe their is about 8 inches of travel on the slider. The lip at the front hooks in the foot well to help keep the seat in place.
Bilge outlet Another question from markbano. Location of the bilge outlet. Anybody have anything significantly different than this?
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne Last one for the night. Just so nobody thinks I am not an equal opportunity employer. This is me in a fairly tight spot as well (mounting the I-command power hub). Honest, it IS me!!!
GPS antenna Any body know if a GPS antenna can see through fiberglass? I need to find a mounting location for mine, and I'm hoping I can mount it under the bow near the gauges, since the cord they gave me is only about 12-16 inches long. And I don't really care to have a white bubble mounted somewhere out in the open.
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne seeing this beautiful boat almost makes me want to get a new hull and transfer everything over. I think my Dad would have a bit of a fit though since he built the boat brand new in 73. So I will just rebuild the back end. and it should go another 34 years. Great job on the rigging, I look forward to riding in it at some point in time during the next couple of years. Daniel
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne I look forward to riding in it in the next couple years as well!!! If I could ever get the rest of my parts, I could actually use it instead of look at it.
Re: My shiny new 1971 Dyne finally put in an order for wire and a bunch of other misc. stuff from skycraft. I'm getting a crud load of stuff with shipping for right around $100. 100' 16 AWG red tinned 100' 16 AWG white tinned 100' 16/2 AWG tinned (for speakers, and runs for other misc. electrical) 100' 3/8 bungee 50 - ball bungees 2 - flex wrap tubes with velcro (for cable routing etc) 1 - 16 position terminal strip 2 - 8 position terminal strips Sounds like a deal to me! Can't wait for the fun to start!!!!
