Yup. There she is. Saw her in the flesh yesterday. It has white lettering that says Minocqua Bats on it and probably Ryden Marine if that is where it was set up, which it probably was.

Believe it or not, the picture doesn't do justice to the red. I think it is even redder in real life. I'm a hydrodyne purist, myself, but perhaps the red will grow on me. 8O

I'm looking forward to seeing it in action this summer. I'm sure I'll be at a few ski shows. I'll take a couple pictures of it in action and post them when I do.

The re-emergence of the outboard ski boat is well under way...

Been really busy with work and ski team, but my boat has been on the water - holds 12 for my daughter no problem and does about 58 with the 19 Rebel that is on it. Probably put a 17 Rebel on it for most use.

    Mark,

I thought the same thing about your fenders. They looked high to me too in the previous photos. I thought maybe when you had your motor rigged it would drop down a little, but looks like it didn't too much. I think it would look better flipped to the other side too. Boat looks awesome though. Perfect restoration job. I wouldn't have done anything different.

Looks incredible. I really like the colors. You're getting the same top end at WOT with a 19 pitch that I'm getting in the 18. I could pick up a touch more speed if I could trim up more but she wants to porpoise if I trim up much. I might go with a 19 or 21 Mirage. Is your engine on the lowest set of mounting holes or one up?

    Greg:

The fenders are high. Everything else is at the correct level. It is just the fenders that are high. They are add-ons. It would be really simple to lower them. Next winter perhaps.

I'm anxious to hear from Bob as to how his prop selection works out on the 250. I might get some useful info there, too.

I am one hole up and need to go one higher yet, too much rooster tail and porpoising right now.

Just for reference, I started one hole up, and am now all the way up. Picked up about 200 RPM, but it does start ventilating a bit when you roll it up on it's side.

When you say all the way up, how high is that above 20 inches.

Interesting. I'm all the way down. I'm wondering if going one hole up will give me a bit more trim range with less porpoising.

I'll probably also add a wedge so I can pull these little kids with more tuck on the trim to get the nose down. Right now speed holding at 15 to 18 MPH is much better on my brother's boat than it is on mine, even though both boats are short of plane at that speed.

I'd love to know what my zero to 50 MPH time is. It sucks the wind out of you, I'll say that. You can't do it with someone facing backwards or you'll launch them. I've got no handle or foot rail back there.

If your getting 60+ on yours, I am really scared for Bob's. That is just to fast for me in a ski boat. Bob did you take yours out yet? If so, what prop size and what were your results? The hole shot has gotta be nuts!

I don't know that actual measurement, but the holes in the transom were drilled with a standard template, and the motor is mounted as high as it can go.
