I have another good parts supplier. they are not the cheapest but they have pictures and part numbers so when you get the part number you can google it and find the cheapest. I am at a party right now but I will post the site later. I have a question for Jim - when did they add fins to the 18 tournament skier? Daves 1969 never had a fin as evidenced by his keel with no notch for a fin - my 72 has a keel notch.

thanks Jim good enough for me. I did not know that these were not production line boats but that kind of makes sense knowing hard was to get one even back in the early seventies

Dave - you wanted to know about my throttles....... throttle1.jpg

I switched the starboard handle to the other side which you can do with the Commander 3000 series. I don't know if that is possible with the taller older series.

    Good afternoon,
Reference TJ309's background on his security system and his ability to fully execute his carry permit with aplomb; does anyone recall the bunny hop boy? He had MarkBano quite concerned for the safety of the Mighty BanoDyne. TJ, even if you were expecting my arrival, I would still call first for two reasons, first for letting you deactivate the land mines and the booby traps, and second to ensure that there were enough libations for all parties in attendance. When it comes to Hydrodyning, there just never seems to be enough time to get enough learning accomplished. Having more than enough snacks and appropriate refreshing beverages at arm's length simply makes sense.

I don't have any definite backing on this but from what I have gleened from my internet searches and articles review since the early 1990's, there were dealerships established for Hydrodynes but they did not have a lot on inventory (had to sell ~5 hulls a year, not just the 18' skier to maintain their licence andpresence). These boats were ordered through a dealer to the buyers specifications. My 1975 had duel throttles (one for the driver and one for the spotter) for flying a flat kite back in the day (which was identified on the original paperwork that went with the boat) and others had build to suit layouts so definitely not a mainstream "bayliner or sea ray" sort of thing. Sea Ray's are generally are good boats, bayliners, not-so-much.
